The paintings gallery, called museum Wilanow Palace Museum, photo Z. ReszkaAugust Potocki inherits the Wilanów residence from his father Aleksander. He commissions architect Franciszek Maria Lanci to design a conversion of the north wing of the palace, which is designed in neo-Renaissance style. Lanci also constructs some outbuildings, namely a manège, a coach house, a watchman's house and a tavern and designs the garden landscaping.
